Meeting in the Desert

"Ooh, yay!" Ming said as she took the red stone and began to munch on it. "Hey, it tastes wierd...." Black started to spread across her dress, starting at the neck, slowly spreading downward. "Oh, cool!" Ming said as she looked down at her dress, still munching the red stone.

"Yes, we do." Ming added to Yuan. "I don't know why, but you can't remember me, or our grandparents. Do you at least know who our great-grandparents are?"

"Look, I have no relations. i know my originals grandparents and great-granparents and that's it. No matter what you think, we're all just cheap knockoffs of dead people!" Greed fumed, turning his back on Ming.

"Wh-what?!" Ming cried, bursting into tears. She began running away from the two people, heedless of Xiaobo panting, trying to catch up. Finally, Ming ducked behind a sand dune and began sobbing quietly. "I'm not real!" Ming cried to herself.

"Ah geez, you scared her off smart-ass." Al said with a roll of his eyes before lightening his form and quickly chasing after her, yelling behind him "Come on, Speedo!!"
When he caught up, he skidded to a halt near the crying girl and winced slightly, before sitting cross-legged in front of her and grinning.
"Hey, I know the feeling, yes, we're not our originals, but we're not cheap knock-offs either. We're us, I'm Envy, he's Greed and you're Gluttony, we are our own people -er, homunculi-, our originals are dead, but we're here thanks to the love that was held for them, we were born through love, not hate. I know I sound like some kind of hippy, but you need to understand, yeah?"

Greed sighed and followed afetr Envy, not likeing this conversation one bit. "You do kinda sound like a hippy, En." Greed commented, tugging his jacket off and holding it, to warm to wear it over his sleeveless, high collared shirt.

"O-ok, Envy." Ming sniffled and stopped crying.

"I already said I knew that, brother" En said with a strained smile on his face before he stomped on Greed's foot, using the full weight of his real form, making him sink -that's Envy whos sinking- a bit into the sand, he then replenished the wait and recomposed himself, "All is well and we're still here."

Greed winced visibly, mouthing several curses. "That was so very NICE of you, Envy." Greed said ina strangled tone before walking out of ear shot and saying several horrible curses as his foot healed. He walked back with a fake smile plastered on his face.

Ming watched all of this and giggled. "So, what exactly does having acid spit mean?"

"Hm... how to explain this..." Envy muttered tapping his chin, before snapping his fingers and materializing a small metal pipe in his hands, he gave it to the girl, "Eat this. You'll see what I mean by acid-munch when you do."

"Ok, but I'm pretty sure that metal pipes aren't edibe." Ming took the pipe and tentatively took a bite. With a slight sizzle, she bit right through it. "Oh, cool!" She said after she had swallowed.

"Do i want to know what that tastes like?" Greed asked with a slightly disgusted look, looking like he might vomit.

"I don't know, do you?" Ming asked Yuan. Not waiting for an answer, "It tastes good, like, hmm...Oh, like sugar mixed with turkey. Don't ask why, I don't know."

"It tastes like brand new pipe!" Envy hissed, though he wasn't sure himself, he'd just materialized it out of thin air after all.

"yes, and I'm wondering what pipe tastes like." Greed rolled his eyes. Some people...

"I just told you, oh wierdo brother, it tastes like sugar and turkey!" Ming shouted to Yuan.

"Uh... sugar and turkey? Ask her, she's the one who ate it." Envy said with a look on his face saying something like 'dunno, ask her' or something.

"How do you know what sugar and turkey taste like?" Greed questioned.

"Because I've tried it before, I don't know! I'm still hungry." Ming said as she ate the rest of the pipe. No matter how much she ate, she never lost that hourglass figure. That was the wierd part.

Al chuckled and materialized another pipe before giving it to her, he then sighed loudly and lazily poked his tongue out at Yuan.
"I'm out of energy, so I'm gunna stop shifting and materializing now..."

"Thank you, Envy. I promise I won't ask for any more food." Ming said as she ate the pipe in one gulp.

"Good to know." greed said boredly, pulling a small flask from his pocket and taking a long sip. "It's so boring here." he muttered, taking another sip of the wine in the flask.

"If you get drunk I swear I'm ditching you." Al said with a dead-pan look on his face.

"Pfft, takesa lot to get me drunk." Greed snorted, takeing another swig of the alchohol. "I don't have enough liquor on me to get drunk."
