Deaths

Yuan had decided to be nice and visit his 'grandfather' in xing. It had been maybe two years since his 'grandma' died and his Grandfather was often lonely. true he wasn't really related to the guy, but he had grown rather fond of him. He shared said grandfathers first name and had been pleasently talking to him in the Empoers thrown room, as opposed to the sitting room, where Greed had been killed. Greed's grandfather had wound up doxing off and Greed leafed through a book.

Xan walked into Xing, accompanied by nine men. All ten of them were wearing assorted masks, with Xan's being in the visage of a Sparrow. An extremely wealthy individual had hired the Black Wolves to assassinate the Emperor of Xing, and because Xan was the acting leader of the Clan while Lanza was hiding away honing his skills, it fell on Xan to....arrange the old man's untimely demise.

The masked emissaries of death walked together silently, moving through the shadows of the night, heading toward the great palace....

Yuan leaned back in his chair and Jun made a startled sound. "Something wrong?" he asked the rat, running his fingers through his black hair that hung loose around his face. Jun squeaked something back but it was to quick for Yuan to understand. "Crazy rat. You'd think there was something wrong." he muttered, flipping th book page as his 'grandfather' awoke.

Xan and his subordinates were closing in on the castle of the Emperor of Xing. As soon as Xan came close to the gate that led to the castle, two men stopped the group and asked what business they had at the castle.

Remaining silent, Xan made a quick hand sign and two of the assassins with him immediately shot the two guards, then dragged their bodies to the nearest river. Throwing them in, the two returned to their positions behind Xan and the group continued their walk to the castle. No one had heard the bullets and it appeared as though there were no other guards on duty tonight.

Xan smiled. Truly the old man had become decadent and complacent in his long reign if he hadn't even posted more than two guards outside of his castle...

The emissaries of death entered the castle and began to walk towards a large door that led to the throne room. Then Xan stopped the group. Making another hand sign, he ordered the men to scatter around the castle, killing any who were not asleep at this point of the night, and to assume certain positions around the castle, ready to strike any who came near that wasn't a Black Wolf.

It was almost time for the main event to begin....

Jun let out another squeak and went racing off of Yuan's shoulder and onto the floor, seeming agitated. "What's wrong?" Greed asked, brushing a strand of ebony hair back off his face. "What's makeing you so crazy?" he asked, looking around everything seemed peaceful. Greed's 'grandfather' seemed to share his wonder at what was annoying the little Rat.

Xan heard nine simultaneous wolf howls, meaning that the other nine were in position, and that all of the guards around the castle had been slain, incapacitated, or were unconscious. Smiling to himself, Xan howled back, louder than the rest. It was time for the world to recognize that a new type of assassin's order had risen, and that it couldn't be stopped by simple walls, and the time of being safe just because you were high in the world was at an end.

Using alchemy, Xan created a ram in the form of a wolf and knocked the door to the emperor's throne room down.

Emperor of Xing! I am the Sparrow of the Black Wolves, and I have a message for you....

The Sparrow then noticed that the old man wasn't alone. Yuan was in the throne room as well? That could complicate things if Xan wasn't careful.

Clapping his hands, Xan made an enormous wall that separated Yuan from the old man, then began to walk slowly toward the soon to be deceased Emperor. On the way there, he created a large hollow spike that went through the roof of the castle, as that was part of his overall plan.

Yuan's eyes went wide. "No, damn it no!" he shouted, trying to find a way around the wall. "get out of here! Now Yuan!" the elderly emporer shouted. Worry shown on Yuan's face as he diobeyed his grandfather for the first time in awhile. "No! I'm not leaving you alone!" Yuan shouted, trying to figure out a way around the wall.

Xan couldn't resist the idea of tormenting the Homunculus on the other side of his wall, before he killed the old man. Changing his voice, he let the torment begin.

What's wrong boy? Can't find a way around the wall? Oh well, I guess that the old man will have to die tonight.

Then an idea struck Xan. It was cruel, ruthless, and underhanded, but it would be so worth it in the end.

Perhaps you would like to know the name of the man who ordered this assassination to take place?

Xan walked ever closer to the emperor, who was yelling at Yuan to get away from here.

Yuan flinched. He couldn't help but yell "Tell me! Now!" there was venomous edge to his tone. Finding no other way, he made his hands ultimate shield and attacked the wall with a flurry of punches, looking half-crazed.

Xan smiled, an insane smile similar to the one worn by the man who he was about to frame for the emperor's death. As he came within a meter of the emperor, his hidden blade came out of his arm, ready to be used...

He called himself.....Takegami...

As he said the word Takegami, Xan stabbed the emperor in the heart, making the knife go in at the correct angle to make the loudest sound so that Yuan could hear his grandfather being killed.

Well Yuan, you have failed...the emperor is dead.

After speaking, Xan created a hole in the wall and tossed the old man's body through the hole.

Turning on his heel, Xan walked toward the spike that he had created....

A strangled sound escaped Yuan's throat. As he stared at the dead body he sunk to his knees. Images flashed before his eyes and he screamed louder, clutching his head. It came back in detail. It hurt.

"Mom! Dad!" he watched the first yuan scream as his parents were killed. He watched the assassin stab that poor five year old through the chest. The first Yuan slowly looked down at the blade that had skewered through him. Greed writhed in pain, his tattoo burning as he watched himself speaking to Truth a few days before he was transmuted. Then he watched his own transmutation in slow motion. Greed shuddered once more, in total agony as he collapsed to the ground, barely enough strength to lift his head.

Jun went scampering to her friend and balanced on his shoulder. The collar of Yuan's shirt had been tugged down a bit, and the rat was surprised to see the red tattoo had turned blue.

Xan transmuted the hollow spike, creating a hole at the top, allowing him to speak through it as a voice amplifier. Stepping inside for maximum effect, Xan began to speak. Anyone within several miles would be able to hear him clearly as his voice resonated through the hollow spike.

People of Xing, hear me now! This is the voice of an envoy of death! Your Emperor has been slain, courtesy of the Black Wolves, contracted by a man named Takegami of Amestris to send the old man to hell, or worse!

Xan knew that no one in all of Xing knew who Takegami was, but he also knew that Yuan did know, and he wanted Yuan not only to fight against Takegami, but to hate him with every fiber of his being. Xan had a plan to use all of that hatred for his own purposes...

Stepping out of the spike, Xan howled and began to walk from the castle. The other nine Black Wolves followed closely behind. Xan smiled, as he mentally counted all of the money that he would be paid for this assassination.

Yuan rose on shakey feet. "Damn him. Takegami is a dead man." the poor boy growled, looking inuterably irritated. The castle was mended, the deceased mporer moved so as to be buried. Yuan was informed that he was now officialy emporer, but he told them the names of several people in charge of various parts of Xing and that he had important things tot ake care of, despite his emorer status.
