Another Pointless Journey

Tobi sighed as he walked through the small village in Creta. "Go to Creta, Mustang," He muttered under his breath, "Do another pointless mission for us! We won't raise your pay, but we'll pat you on the back and tell you 'good job.' Maybe we'll even give you a cookie!" He rolled his eyes. "Gimme a break. I'll be Fuhrer one day! Then I won't have to go on any more pointless missions. Ever." He grinned at the thought.

Darkamaru was skipping-Yes,SKIPPING- Through a road to Creta until he bumped into, and ultimately knocked down, someone else, obviously another officer. He jumped up and brushed himself off before turning to the man he had knocked over. He recognized him as the man from the desert. "Hey! I know you! ...Um...Mustang, right?" He grinned and helped the guy up.

Tobi nodded. "Uh, yeah." He said. He remembered the guy vaguely from the desert, but didn't know his name. He knew he'd joined the military recently, though. "So, you're a Colonel, right?" He decided to avoid the fact that he didn't remember the guys name.

Darkamaru grinned. "Ayup. Just joined about a week ago. Pretty cool except for the paperwork. I was just on a mission to check something out in Creta. And I was skipping so I ended up bumping into you. Hehe, sorry bout that..." He pulled out a strip of bacon and bit a piece off.

Tobi chuckled. "It's okay," He said, "Happens all the time." Why is he carrying bacon?

Darkamaru continued eating his nummy snack as he talked, every few swallows. (he doesn't talk with his mouth full. xD) "So why are you out here, Colonel Mustang?"

Tobi sighed. "I got some sort of mission from Central to check out how strong the armies are here, make sure there's no chance they'll rebel. It's pointless. If they rebel, we'll know it."

"Really? That was my mission too... Well, since we're boh headed there, wanna check it out together?" He tugged at his glove. Why was it so itchy! GRRR!

Tobi nodded. "Sure, sounds fine."

"Cool." By now he was scratching the inside of the glove and chewing on his wrist-Obviously looking kind of strange.

Tobi wrinkled his forehead. "Uh, are you alright?"

"Hmm?" He stopped scratching. "Oh, yea, just this really made itch... I just can't take the glove off because...I just had surgery and it has to be on or the UV rays will just Ssssssssss! Burn it up..." He grinned, proud of his half-truth...

Tobi blinked. "Hm," He said, sounding uninterested.

Darkamaru switched the subject. "Well, lets get headed to this village or whatever it is."

Tobi nodded and headed towards the village, assuming Dark would follow him.

Dark followed beside Tobi and sighed after a while of walking. "I wish this place had camels...They make travel so much easier!"

Tobi chuckled. "What is it with everyone and camels?"

Darkamaru cocked his head. "What do you mean? I thought I was the only one who rode camels everywhere..."

"Apparently not. I was talking to a girl the other day who mentioned camels."

"Weird...Was her name Revel, by any chance? Me and her went camel riding. Twas fun..."

"No, her name was Ming. But I've met a girl named Revel once."

"Hmm...Well, I still wish we had a camel or too...The pack mules of poor terrain! I mean, camels in the desert with no water! Woolly Camels from Frostdeath! The things are amazing!"

Tobi sighed. "So, camels and bacon are your main subjects?"

He grinned. "Nah...Just bacon. Camels are just something I like..." He smiled and pointed at a nearby rock, making a small cherry tree grow and picking a few cherries, popping them into his mouth as he walked.

Tobi sighed. "What's so great about bacon, anyways?"
