Insanity at work (Military Only)

Tobi walked around the hallway, trying to look busy. The truth was, he was avoiding his stack of paperwork which waited for him in his office. He couldn't help it. He didn't want to do paperwork! He would have stayed in the office, but he couldn't stand seeing it there...laughing at him. Damn, he thought to himself, I'm going insane. My paperwork was...laughing at me? He shook his head and sped up his walking.

It was Benjamin's first day on the job, and he had to meet up with a guy named 'Mustang'. He had been shown a pictue of him, but still, Central was a pretty big place. As he paced up and down hallways, he suddenly ran into a black-haired man who looked thoroughly aggravated. Stumbling back a few steps, he steadied himself.
"Pardon."
Was the only words he spoke to the man, before realising HE was the 'Mustang' he was looking for.

Tobi raised an eyebrow. "You're my new subordinate, Major Havoc, aren't you?" He smirked. "Finally. You have lots of paperwork to do, Havoc. Follow me!"

Havoc blinked twice, following the Colonel.
"Wh- What..? I've alredy been given my paperwork."
Havoc sighed. Mustang was alredy slacking on him.
'Oh, joy...'

"Well, I was, uh, ordered to give you more!" Tobi said, glancing back to see if he was buying it. "Yeah, they said to keep you on your toes, Havoc!" He tried not to laugh out loud. He was in a much better mood now that he had someone to dump all his work on.

Havoc rolled his eyes while Mustang wasn't looking.
"Well, tell them I said thanks then, Sir."
He sighed, this day was going to be longer than he expected. He had just got to work and the Colonel was alredy breaking him in.

"Of course I will!" Tobi chuckled. "Know what, Havoc? I like you. I think we'll be great friends. Alright, now. I was told you need to sign my name on these because...uh..." He was out of ideas. But he couldn't do that paperwork! He had to think of something! "Because....I......uh.....Just because!"

"Just because. Got it."
Havoc chuckled. After all, it was just paperwork. Mustang couldn't possibly be like this all this time...Could he?
"So, while I do paperwork, what is your job?"
He internally chuckled, waiting for the answer.

"I am to observe you and ensure you do it correctly," Tobi said, not missing a beat.

"Ah, very nice, Sir."
Havoc took in a deep breath and exhaled.
"So you watch while I do it? Wouldn't it be less boring to do it yourself- I mean, Get other things done that need to be done."

Tobi blinked. "Havoc," He said slowly, "We don't come to work to entertain ourselves!" He patted Havoc on the back. "It's okay," He said, a bit quieter, "You're learning."

Havoc raised his eyebrows.
"Ah..Thanks..?"
He turned to the next door they were about to pass; his office. He pulled out a key and opened the door. He looked around then suddenly gasped.
"What...is THAT?"
His mouth hung open at the mounds of paper that sat on his desk waiting for him.
"That's about as tall as me!"

Tobi chuckled. "You've been slacking," He said, glancing around the room, "You haven't done any paperwork since you got here. Aren't you lazy?" Tobi pulled a chair next to the desk and sat down, pulling out an...er...interesting...magazine and began reading. It was his 'fine literature' of the day.

Havoc sighed, scooting back his chair a little then sitting down. He pulled out a pen from inside the desk and took the first peice of paper, skimming over it then signing it.
'This is going to take forever..'
He grabbed the next peice of paper and did the same, then glanced over at Mustang, who seemed to be alredy enjoying himself.
"So, Colonel, how long have you been here so far?"
He mumbled, trying to make bad small talk.

Tobi shrugged. "One...two? Days. I'unno. Have you met the Toeblade Alchemist yet? He's fun to mess with. Call him a girl." Tobi laughed out loud at the memory. "Oh, man, the kid freaks."

"Toeblade...Hm.."
He thought silently to himself.
"Oh crap. That girl in the comittee was a boy!?"
Havoc blinked three times, feeling embarissed.
"Whoops.."
He nervously chuckled, then started up on papers again.

Tobi laughed louder. "That's what I said!" Watching Havoc sign paperwork, he was almost guilty. Almost. "Want some coffee?" He asked, standing up.

"Sure, Thanks, I'll have it black."
Havoc put a pile of papers that he had alredy signed into a basket on the desk marked 'out', then started on another section.
'Guess it wasn't as big as it looked. Or maybe it was, and I'm a fast worker.'
He smirked to himself. He had never been a fast worker, he hated alot of work.

Tobi grinned and walked to the coffee machine. He was glad to be out of the office again. It was so...boring in there. It reminded him of work, and smelled like paper. So he avoided it.

Havoc threw his head back and groaned. His neck was alredy hurting from slouching.
"Ah..."
He moaned as he rubbed the back of it, stretching a bit.
"Damned paperwork!"
He shouted at the stack of paper, then sighed.

Tobi came in carrying two coffee mugs. He chuckled at Havoc's outburst. "I see you share my hatred," He observed. "Don't worry! We'll get another subordinate one day, and you'll pass all your paperwork, and mine, down to them."

"Hopefully. I cant wait till I get promoted."
He huffed then started doing paperwork again, breaking from his daydream.
"Then I'll get more subordinates, and have to be one less.."

"Don't worry, Havoc, when I'm Fuhrer, paperwork will be banned!" Tobi struck a dramatic pose, causing some of the paperwork to fall off the desk.
