Melting in the heat

Tobi glared at Al. "I don't have a big ego! And I don't care if a rat insults me. Besides, she's wrong." He scowled and looked away. Drinking buddies? Al doesn't seem like the type to have a drinking buddy. Come to think of it, neither does Yuan.... He wrinkled his forehead in confusion. Something is going on, He decided. Glancing over at them, he decided not to ask.

Alexander snickered at the colonel's reply before pointing out: "Nice pout, Mustang."

"Jun insults everyone except me... and Alexander." he said after a moment, thinking of how the small grey rat had yet to say a single bad thing about Alex.

"See? More proof we've known each other for ages!" Alexander said with a grin before giving Yuan a look saying 'go along with it, he doesn't know I'm a homunculus and that means he doesn't know about you, either'.

Yuan nodded quickly. "Yes, Jun has always made a point of showing she likes Al." Yuan said Cooley. He could play along if he tried.

Tobi flicked Al in the forehead. "I wasn't pouting," He said in a somewhat winy voice. He raised a suspicious eyebrow at the look Al gave to Yuan. "Y'know, Elric," He said slowly, "You're acting awful suspicious...Don't think I can't tell, it's not like I haven't had that same look on my face before. What are the two of you up to?" He looked from Al to Yuan and back again, narrowing his eyes.

Alexander gulped as sweat seemed to start pouring off of him as he sent Yuan a look saying 'oh shit, we're caught, act natural' before turning back to the colonel and chuckling lightly.
"H-How're we acting suspicious, C-Colonel?" He asked in a shaky voice holding an obviously guilty look on his face.

"Suspicious? Of course, and I'm emperor." yuan rolled his eyes, easily hiding the lump of apprehension that settled in his stomach. "Perhaps the heat is getting to you."

"Well, first of all, you're stuttering. A good liar never stutters, Elric. Secondly, it's written all over your face." He smirked slightly, "Not to mention all the looks you've been giving him," He nodded toward Yuan. "So, either the two of you are secret lovers, or you're up to something. And, considering the fact that you seem to have the hots for me, regardless of how many times you've been denied, I believe the first is out. So, what are you two up to...?" He paused at Yuan's comment. "An emperor? Ugh, that's not important. The heat isn't getting to me, I'm not that bad."

"Or perhaps you are and don't know it. Perhaps I'll explain the emporer thing on a latter date." Yuan said, a frown imprinting itsle fonto his face. "And I don't like Al that way, thank you." he added.

Alexander's jaw dropped at the first suggestion. He then scowled when Tobi kept claiming Alexander 'had the hots for him', but was secretly glad that he ruled out the 'secret lovers' thing because of it. He wasn't going to start declaring his 'love' to Mustang or anything because of it, though, because the guy was a prick, period, and Alexander wasn't interested in any sex.
"Ok, first off, I'm not secret lovers with Yuan, secondly, I DO NOT HAVE THE HOTS FOR YOU!! And thirdly, WHAT THE HELL MAKES YOU THINK SOMETHING'S UP?!" The boy practically yelled out as his face took up a look of anger. Man, that colonel sure knew how to piss him off!

Tobi tried not to laugh. "You make it so obvious, Elric! Freaking out like that!"

"You're both giving me a head ache." Yuan muttered, glaring at them both. "Do you always argue so much?"

"I DO NOT LIKE YOU LIKE THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!" He yelled out, his arms flailing about in protest and a light tinge of pink on his cheeks.
The boy then kicked some sand at the Colonel before turning to Yuan with a guilty smile.
"Only when he decides to be a prick."

"And let me guess, that's all the time?" Yuan said with a knowing look. He silently debated telling them the reason for his emperor comment to stop their fighting, no matter how briefly, or to just elt them continue argueing. The conflict was obvious on his face.

Tobi shrugged. "We don't fight all the time," He said. He looked thoughtful, "Well, maybe we do." He chuckled, shaking his head. "So anyways back on subject..."

"And the subject is?" Yuan asked, faking a perplexed face.

"Er... he's an idiot?" Alexander asked while pointing up at the flame alchemist's descendant with a look on his face clearly saying 'of course he's an idiot'.

"I don't think it's quite that." Yuan said, suppressing a laugh. Amestrians were an odd people.

Tobi rolled his eyes. "First of all, that can't possibly be true. Me? And idiot? You, my friend, are the idiot here. How else could you forget the subject? Now, what are the two of you lying about? I know it's something, so don't say it isn't."

"Who said we were lying?" Yuan raised an eyebrrow, a mild look on his face.

"I did," Tobi said matter-of-factly.

"Just because you said it doesn't mean it's true, colonel Jack-ass." Al said a-matter-of-factly with a look on his face reading something like 'you really are an idiot, Mustang' before he smirked to himself and flipped his hair in the feminine way of his.

"I'm starting to think you guys really do like each other." Yuan said in Xingese. How he loved knowing two languages! "Perhaps it would be more helpful to us if we, and by we I mean the both of you, stopped argueing." Yuan then said in Amestrian, palcing an annoyed look on his face.

"Sure, whatever..." Alexander said in a nonchalant tone before turning back to his colegue and poking out his tongue at the man playfully -and also in a 'screw you!' way- before turning back to Yuan with a smile, "So tell me, Yuan, what's Jun think of the almighty me?"
The pose he just pulled was pretty lame... After all, Roy Mustang's 'tiny miniskirts!' pose was lame to anyone who saw it... par Jean Havoc... weird.
