Moth to a flame

Revel looked around nervously. Where was he hiding? She peaked around curiously before proceeding down the hall. There's only a handful of places.. right?

Yuan grinned and burst from the closet, tackling Revel and smirking.

Revel let out a shout of surprise, her face red slightly and her eyes wide. She faked being mad, but couldn't help smiling "Okay okay, you win again.. what's that.. 13-2?"

"I dunno, lost count." Yuan joked, realeasing Revel and walking to the door on the other side of the hall, unlocking it. "Weird." he laughed.

Revel blinked and jumped to her feet. "What's weird, meus cara?" She wondered if he even knew what that meant.

"That my room was right across the hall, Lian." he answered with a grin. "If I tell you what lian means, mind telling me what you've been saying means?"

Revel blushed and looked away "Meus Cara?" She shifted and played with the sleeve on her shoulder, "U-Uhmm well it's a term of affection among Ishvallans... it-it means.. well."

"Go on." Yuan said coolly, seeing unphased.

Revel fidgetted and spoke quickly, "It means my dear, oh look someone came and ceaned the room while we were gone!" The last half was loud as she tried brushing past him inside.

"Better than what I call you." Yuan grinned and stepped inside as well.

Revel squeaked and looked at him, with a bright red face "A-And what would that be?"

"Lian is Xingese for a love, usually used as an affectionate term." Yuan grinned.

Revel squeaked again and sat down on the sofa, "O-Oh? In Ishvallan to love is.. amore... calling someone love is simply Amor.." She blushed, wondering if he caught her saying it.

"Really? Seems our languages are pretty diffrent." he grinned a bit. "Now, lian, ai, tian mi, liu, it's getting late and I'd still like to see you in that dress." he smirked and winked, having used several Xingese terms of affection.

Revel blushed, smiling sheepishly, "I was hoping if I distracted you long enough you'd forget." She grabbed the dress and slipped into the bathroom. She pulled on the dress, closing the door behind her. The dress fit her nicely, a long peacock-blue past her knees, to her ankles with a slit to the knee. A dark silver sash across her waist, tying into a soft bow in the back and with spagetti straps ontop. A silver trim glittering the fabric in an elaborate floral design.

Yuan himself changed very quickly, his clothes not exactly fitting for a resteraunt setting. The clothes he threw on were still black, but slightly more formal.

Revel stepped out slowly and looked at him, "I-I look okay?"

Yuan gaped and opened and closed his mouth several times, trying to speak and not succedeing. "You look... you look... wow." yes, the infamous line of 'wow' was all he could come up with.

Revel blushed, deciding to tease him, "You sound like a fish on dry land." She stepped forward nervously and looked at herself, "Honestly?"

Yuan took a deep breath. "Revel, the dress uits you." he stated to the best of his ability, still sounding a bit shaky.

Revel smiled softly, her face still sporting a blush, "T-Thank you, Yuan.. I'm glad you think so..."

"It's the truth." he shrugged and opened the door. "After you, miss." he teased.

Revel shook her head and sighed, "I feel so.. weird in this." she admitted as she managed to walk, a little awkwardly at first, not used to the dressy-restrictions.

"You're not used to it." Yuan shrugged anf followed after her, carefully closeing the door behind them.

Revel was stared at as they walked, men stopping to stare. She sped slightly, walking closer to Yuan, "They're all staring.."
