Random Encounter (Revel + Katie)

Katie followed Ama and Revel, staying by Revel's side.
She was happy she ended up meeting her.
Otherwise, she would be even more lost than she was before. Not to mention, she wouldn't have this really happy and soft feeling in her.
There was something about Revel that made her feel safe...
What was up with Katie meeting homunculi and them making her feel either intimidated, afraid, or completely safe and happy? It was never in between, it was always one way or the other.

Revel hopped up a tree and scouted around. "We're about a mile from the border.. you can walk that far, right?"

"Yeah, sure, I don't mind." Katie replied, looking up at Revel in the tree. She was flexible...
She bent down and petted Ama some more. She wished she had a treat with her right now, so she could give it to Revel's faithful dog.

Revel flipped down as Ama looked over, patient as ever. The dog eyed Revel, waiting for her command. "Well come on, let's go." The dog gave a semi-nod and began trotting off.

"Right," Katie nodded, and continued to follow. Katie prefered trains, but she loved to walk as well.
"Where'd you get Ama, anyway? She's a great and loyal dog." She asked, petting Ama once again.

Revel blushed suddenly, looking like a perfectly normal girl, "Uhmm w-w-well someone dear gave her to me.." She fidgetted, suddenly struck by a shy bug.

"A crush, huh?" Katie smirked at Revel. Of course, even homunculi were capable of loving someone. That reminded her of the way she had a crush on a certain homunculous that everyone knew...
When she thought about him, she blushed a bit herself, hoping Revel did see.

Revel freaked out, blushing scarlet, "W-wh-what?! N-No I-I don't.." she decided denying it was making her blush worse. "O-Okay I do, but keep it a secret okay." Even if it was completely obvious who it was...

Looking at Revel blush and think about her crush made Katie blush darker and think of hers, too!
"I-I see...wh-what's his name? I'd like to kn-know..." She stuttered, trying not to blush or stutter like she was now.

Revel grinned and snuck next to Katie, acting like a normal teenage girl, "I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours." she giggled, her blush a few shades lighter than her eyes.

Katie lightly groaned, but took the deal.
"A-Al-Alexander Elric..." She muttered, but it was surely loud enough for Revel to hear.

Revel giggled, "Awww..." She ruffled Katie's hair, "You two would be cute together.."

Katie blushed a darker red, allowing Revel to hear that and pet her.
"N-now you tell me yours!" She demanded, letting out another slight stutter. She was embarrassed.

Revel looked away, a look of distant romance on her face. A loving smile on her face, "I'm.. head over heels for him.... My Yuan Yao..."

It was Katie's turn to smile sweetly at Revel and ruffle her hair.
"Aww! I can imagine you two together. You guys would be so sweet..." She said, playing with Revel's crush, as she did with hers.

Revel blushed deeper and began wringing her hands "Y-You really think so?"

"Of course. And there's no way Al likes me back...h-he...I don't know, I can just tell he doesn't..." Katie looked away, trying to hide her blush.

Revel nudged Katie in a playful manner "Oh who wouldn't like you Katie~! Just look at you. I'm sure he secretly fantasizes you." A bright smile was on her face.

That made Katie's face go even redder.
"Th-that's not true!!!" She was really embarrassed right now. She shouldn't've mentioned it...

Revel smiled up at her, "Oh Katie I'm hurt." she put on a face of mock hurt, "You think I would lie to you?"

"N-no, of course not..." Katie's cheeks were still red, but she at least calmed down.
"But what about you and Yuan?" She grinned. "I'm sure he thinks about you a lot. I remember when I met him, it looked like he had something on his mind. I'm sure it was you..."

Revel blushed deeply, "I doubt it.. there are so many other.. more important things.."

"More important than someone he likes?" Katie giggled, teasing Revel a little bit, like she had just teased her.
"Alright, alright, I'm done. Sorry, Revel. So we both have crushes...at least it's just between us, right?"

Revel smiled and nodded, holding out her pinky and crossing her heart "I promise."

Katie held out her pinky and shook Revel's.
"Promise. You know, now, I don't even need to go anywhere. I have you with me now."
